At the Chapel is a restaurant with rooms based in Bruton, Somerset.
They approached us in 2017 to consolidate their brand. We developed comprehensive guidelines and a complete suite of collateral encompassing packaging, printed materials, menus, wayfinding and digital communication materials. We have worked hard on sustainability and have used recycled material wherever possible. There are no plastics in any of their packaging and their takeaway coffee cups are now fully compostable.
In 2019 we designed and developed a completely new website. This is their primary marketing tool and allows them to communicate their offering, update menus, take bookings for both their rooms and the restaurant and advertise their events.
The website uses a minimal, graphic, editorial style layout. Two primary CTAs are surfaced in the header to allow users to navigate to the two key areas of the website.
Despite their beautiful interiors and food, At the Chapel lacked any photographic identity and consistency within their collateral, and had a surprisingly small number of usable images. We photographed all facets of the business to provide them with an extensive image bank for use across all marketing mediums.
At the Chapel had a pre-developed logotype which we updated alongside their titling application. This led onto a comprehensive styleguide covering logotype use, typography, wayfinding, tone of voice and photographic style.
We focussed heavily on sustainability throughout all collateral and developed a new all-day menu system to help reduce printed waste. We specified recycled material wherever possible; there are no plastics in any of their packaging and their takeaway coffee cups (including the lids) are now fully compostable.
“We have been working with the team at Field since mid 2018. Despite being fairly small, their combined skillset far outweighs the sum of their parts. They are reactive to our needs and are always there when we need them.”
